A Combination of a Clutch-Brake unit with mounting methods as per IEC Standards, the Narsipur & Son’s Manufacturing Division’s Electromagnetic Clutch Brake Combinations are suitable for application that requires both clutch and a brake to function in one simple install unit. When the clutch portion of the unit is engaged, power is transmitted from a source such as a continuously rotating motor to a machine component such as a shaft. When the brake is engaged, the component is held stationary.
They find application in machine tool, food processing, chemical, pharmaceutical industries etc. These are available with Electrically or mechanically actuated brakes where over running of the parts is not acceptable as in case of reversible drives, variable speed gear boxes etc.
